Baby Violence Awareness Month

Since April is Baby Violence Awareness Month,
I have decided to devote this post to it. You may not be aware of this month of awareness. Back in December of 1978, a ferret accidentally wandered into the crib of a five month old baby. The baby took the ferret out in one flick of the wrist.

This is no joke.
This is no laughing matter.
Baby's can be fierce.

In '79 the case went to court and the ferret's family was awarded some financial restitution. The courts thought they had seen the last of cases in this arena until 1991, when, yet again, a baby attacked. This time it was not fatal, and, thankfully, all of the animals got out alive.

So far, only attacks toward animals have been reported, but we do believe that the babies are capable of attacking human beings. We are asking that people take the necessary precautions around very young children. Be sure to keep them at arms length and NEVER, NEVER, NEVER get into a situation where you and a baby are alone.

If you see a baby acting in a suspicious manner, please contact me, Asher, or Eliza immediately. If the baby is foaming at the mouth, he or she may be infected with rabies or something worse. DO NOT PICK UP THE BABY.

Please see the side panel for some helpful tips on baby violence prevention.

Sincerely,
Simeon Bowne
