Stress Baking

Ever stress baked?
Mom does.
We're okay, but things have been a bit more stressful than normal. Since Mom was home today as Dad took the car to get checked out, she has made chocolate chip cookies, a steak roast, blueberry oat bread, and a blackberry pie....and it's only 3:00pm.
I'll be eating good tonight!

To the Parrishes:
The car: We've decided to name it after a red wine, hoping that it will age well and improve with time. (The car's color is a wine red). Our best name idea so far is "Two Buck Chuck" which is a cheap wine they sell at Trader Joes that has won awards for its taste. Perhaps it will be "chuck" for short! It's been a rough start, but we still think it was a wise purchase.

To Nicole:
Was the chocolate cake from scratch? icing? very important questions... and is the semester over for you now? finals this week?

sim,
sadly the cake was not from scratch. neither was the WHITE icing. but living with poor college students, you hardly expect box-mix cake! : )
as for school, classes just ended today! hooray! finals start on saturday (yeah, they do things strangely out here in michigan...). but my biggest project is due tomorrow. yikes!

Way to go Nicole- keep it up. Your education will pay off much steeper than just a degree.
